Description of 🔬 AmScope SM-4TZ-144A Professional Trinocular Stereo Zoom Microscope: 3.5X-90X Magnification, LED Ring Light, Double-Arm Boom Stand

Professional stereo microscope with boom stand has long working distance to enable users to perform work or manipulate large items, including circuit boards and dental appliances. Trinocular viewing head with pair of 10x super-widefield eyepieces, adjustable interpupillary distance, fixed 45-degree vertical inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation capability to enable sharing. 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective provides continuous zoom magnification and longer focal length for inspecting large-scale specimens, a 0.5x Barlow lens extends the working distance, and a 2.0x Barlow lens extends the magnification range. Removable rheostat-controlled 144-bulb LED has four separate zones to independently control light intensity and direction. Double-arm boom stand has 20" arms and 17" pillar to enable users to position the microscope head on three axes (X, Y, and Z).

The scale in itself is incredible. I give it a four because they gave me the wrong link to the PDF and the manual that came with it wasn't right for my size either. The phone support there is great. In general, I am very satisfied with the scale. A tip, no software or camera is included. I would advise against buying an adapter for your camera as it doesn't come with the software and even if your camera is supported it's useless to focus. I came back with an adapter return (I have a Nikon 5100)

Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

This is one of those products that makes you kick yourself in the butt for not getting it sooner. The price was great. This is a very thoughtful design. And it's incredibly durable. Arrived 48 hours after ordering, took about 30 minutes to set up. The picture is excellent. The LED light ring provides excellent illumination and the variable brightness gradually decreases. The base is very heavy so it never feels unstable or unbalanced even with your arm fully extended. There are reports online…

Incredible volume for the price

This volume is the real deal. The optics are as crisp and sharp as any brand name professional scope I've used. The outrigger post isn't all it could be as the moving parts don't jam without twisting the levers and compression knobs as hard as possible, but it's still pretty functional. I'm using a Nikon 810 full frame C-mount camera and it works pretty well (Nikon mount is not included and can be purchased separately from AmScope). The camera doesn't lock into the mount with a set screw and…

Excellent range. Very good stand. Not a very good light set.

This unit is really good for the price. I like everything about it. I bought other optical lenses that make the device even more attractive. The picture is clear, the adjustment is easy. I have used other brands of stereoscopes at work and this one is quite good. One complaint I have is that an adjustment knob was missing. But I contacted the seller and he sent me the part straight away. Excellent! I gave 4 stars because it is a kit. And the lights go out in a big way. And while the LED ring is

Sturdy build, good optics, assembly instructions would be nice

I've just assembled the scope (I hope it's correct) and so far it's a great microscope for the price. It's heavy and solid, so using it with a DSLR of the same weight shouldn't be a problem. My only complaint (like others here) is that the AmScope owner's manual (and parts list) is pathetic. The company does everyone (its customers and customer service representatives) a favor by including application-specific instructions (and parts lists) with their tools. The booklet that came with this…

Big hobby! for microscopes

I bought this for my geology and archeology hobby and it was excellent - with a few caveats. This microscope doesn't have a stage and many of my specimens are too small to see without lifting them to the lens, so I had to find a worktable to place rocks and other hard, sharp objects on. I ended up using a small lab jack (also available from Revain) as a table which allowed me to place a sample on top and raise it to about the required level and then use the microscope for final adjustments. It…

Great microscope but difficult to find the right one at Revain.

Let me start by saying that this is an excellent microscope for the money. This unit is as good or even better than the Wild Instruments replacement unit at a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, it's difficult to compare Revain's different models. As far as I can tell they are different. 1) The type of base and mount 2) The presence of an additional connector for the camera 3) The supplied lenses and eyepieces 4) The type of lighting. You should go to the AmScope website and browse the Build…
