I use this every single day and it is worth every penny. The glowing "power" button shows red for hottest setting, purple for med-high, blue for low, and then press one more time to a blinking red which tells you it's cooling down to power off. I find it keeps most mugs hot and the smaller the cup, the more chance it will actually reheat coffee that cooled down. The big mug in my picture stayed hot for an hour with the setting on high. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

You definitely need a flat bottom mug. I've tried a flat, thick ceramic mug and a thin copper one it works ok. I had high hopes for this heating unit as it looks so nice on my office desk. I was having trouble getting it to keep my coffee hot but I am now having much hotter coffee. I turn it on a few minutes before I need it and make sure my coffee is hot to begin with. The touch on/off sensor is easy to use, and it turns off automatically after 4 hours. Addendum: I've been using this warmer for 2 years now and I'm quite content with it. It keeps my coffee warm enough without cooking it. I do wish the on-off button had more of a click to it. I regularly find my warmer turned on after I have turned it off, probably because something just touched it.Original Doesn't get very warm on the hottest setting so I have no use for cooler settings. The price was good and I got to pick my favorite color. The item came right away. It keeps my cup of coffee nice and warm. When you shut it off, it takes a while to cool down, but the blinking light will remind you that it is in cool down process.

Im an artist I use a small stainless steel bowl and heat water in this then put my acrylic paint tubes top down into hot water when I cant get the top off, works great.

It heats my coffee just fine, as advertised.However, I wish that the button was in the middle, instead of in the corner, because sometimes when I pick up my coffee cup I accidentally change the setting. (I pick up with my right hand, and the button is quite sensetive.)

Does exactly what it says it does. The plate fits most standard mugs. I only had one SUPERR wide one that didn’t fit, all my other large and standard size mugs fit fine. It does have an auto turn off and it’s easy to turn off when you first turn it on, but it’s a little confusing to turn off once it has been on. I’ve never had an issue or scare with the heating or it overheating. I keep a little square coaster under it anyways to be safe, but never had an issue. Keeps my coffee hot for hours!
