The screen went black and didn't work from the start. Used on Dodge Grand Caravan 2005.1 plugged in2 allows light up3 never lights up and does not work.

I don't pretend to know much about these things. But our car had a very small vacuum leak that caused the check engine light to come on intermittently. Thanks to this we were able to check if the problem was still minor and turn off the light ourselves. He does what we want.

This device is easy to use and comes with a fairly good manual. The problem I have is that the code reader has a character limit that is shorter than many codes. (See image.) Redesigned from 4 to 2 stars. Three days after using it twice, the device stopped working. Screen shows random tongue twisters, doesn't respond to any of the buttons. When that pesky check engine light comes on, it's nice to have it in your toolbox instead of driving across town looking for AutoZone or O'Reilly to read the codes for you. **One thing I learned after buying and using it myself. I had no problems with the update, which requires you to download the update software, unzip it, and then select the correct folder (don't try to update through device manager and select the file). As long as the phone works well I just don't see why it can't tell you the minimum battery life. They appear to have structured the pricing of their Ancel units like car trim levels. First a couple of trivial minuses. The reader is small, so the text on the display is just as small. If you wear reading glasses, you need them to be able to read the display. The installation instructions are also in small print. Again, this is not a big problem since the documents are available online.
