Looks good but flimsy

It looks nice but the metal is easy to pull and tug when very light and bends when dropped 15cm. Luckily it's so weak that it can be bent straight with your fingers. The flange part that you insert into the porcelain drain is flat at the bottom and doesn't taper like most toilet drains and is difficult to seal. Seals were brittle/thin, no friction ring. We had to make the bottom gasket so it doesn't lose shape when tightened. I wouldn't buy this unless you're a good plumber like me. My…

Great quality but poor installation instructions

Loved the quality of this dish drainer. My rating of less than 5 stars is due to the fact that the kit does not come with instructions. Having installed many sinks in my life I figured it was no big deal. I installed it based on the photos in the advertisement showing the silicone sealing cup down. After spending a few hours on this and getting very frustrated with the constant leak, I read all the reviews. Several have advised that this seal should be installed facing up, such as with a cup…

Disappointed as a result

About the drain can only be so poetic. You expect three things from it: it has a good finish, it doesn't leak, and it holds water when asked. I bought and installed two of these and so far this one does all three. For the record, being old-fashioned, I didn't use the top rubber washer that comes with the gutter, I used tap spatula, so no comment on this article. 3 WEEKS LATER: REDUCED RATING Both drains began to leak. Why they waited 3 weeks before both started leaking remains a mystery, likely

Garbage. This article can not be exchanged. Beware.

"I hired a licensed plumber at $125 an hour to replace an undercounter drain that had a failed lifting ball joint. I watched my experienced, reliable, and highly qualified plumber spend an hour installing this leak-free sink drain. Silicone and rubber seals are useless and pure garbage. He tried plumber's putty and pipe grease with the same recurring leaks from the top of the exhaust pipe. Cannot be installed properly. At least he wasn't blaming me out of pride. Going back to Quadrant 1, I…

Apply TefTape or Caulk or pipe thread putty to the drain pipe threads just below the overflow or it will drip! It doesn't look like solid plastic types. Be careful, look at the DIAGRAM not the photo, the bottom washer is cup shaped. It fits nicely in a 1 3/4" drain. It looks beautiful. I doubt it will fit in a 1 1/4" drain hole. After reading the reviews I looked at the pictures, they are inconsistent (I reported to Amazon); Be sure to look at the DIAGRAM 3/4 at the bottom of the page, not the…

Lots of criticism but no junk

I will not say that people who have had a bad experience with this product are lying and I will not question their competence in installing drains. I consider myself a competent DIYer and can say that I have ordered/installed two of these with no problems. I was really impressed with the quality of the materials. I was expecting plastic tubes but in fact the whole product looked like it was made out of some kind of metal. It's even been smeared with bronze until it hits the U-trap (or is it a…
