Marginal. not professional.

Looks like a kindergarten kid made it - just a piece of wire that went into the coax cable, connected and partially crimped - pretty fiddly. The packaging says silver, but it's copper-colored and looks like a piece of wire from a clothes hanger.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expandable

Poor workmanship and delivery.

First things first. It works out. Even if the processing leaves a lot to be desired. The middle wire was soldered crooked so I had to straighten it to connect to the coax fitting. It also came folded in half which caused the antenna to bend. They expect it to be sent directly.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Very expensive

I can't get enough of how well this works

We have a driveway gate and have had issues for several years with the remote controls not working to open/close the gate unless we were a certain distance and directly in front of the gate. We installed this antenna and now we can open it from a much greater distance and even around a corner. Such an increase in performance. We should have bought one of these years ago. Good product!

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Serves its purpose but is really just a piece of wire

This antenna is really just a piece of wire that plugs into a plug. However, he has been doing his job outside on our remote-controlled sliding gates for over a year. The range of the previous antenna was about 50 feet. It was connected directly to the receiver in the gate operator box. With this remote antenna, we can reliably activate the gate from over 200 feet away. The new antenna will be mounted on a pole near the blade about 8 feet off the ground.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

DO NOT BUY in audio and video accessories

We installed at the entrance of our department this week. This antenna is not properly designed. The threaded portion that connects to ground on the coaxial cable is NOT isolated from the positive (antenna) portion of the device. I saw this when I bought it, but assumed it wasn't necessary (I'm a POA rep, which means I'm a freelancer, not an expert). Our gate openers didn't work!. Nothing! Although the old antenna is tired, I connected it to the new cable and the gate controller works fine…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Can't figure out how well this works

We have a driveway gate and for several years have had problems with remote controls not opening/closing the gate unless we are within a certain distance and to the right in front of the gate. Pros
  • Plastic boot lid plug
Cons
  • No power

Flour too expensive!

Received mine yesterday. VERY badly put together. The plastic cover is smaller than the photo and the cheap flimsy antenna wire was not centered on the plastic cover. It was just pushed out of the middle. The antenna was not an 8 inch straight piece as described. She arrived bent over. It is NOT "silver" as described. It looks like cheap brass alloy and is very thin. This item is as described here. It was a Revain Choice item. REALLY AMAZON?

Pros
  • Connects to Type F connector on receiver antenna
Cons
  • So far so good
