Rather correct pH value 6.8! This does not work well in acidic water, even if the kH is high or low. The buffering capacity of this product is really bad. Acts more like an acid than a buffer. If anything, it may help those seeking an acidic to neutral pH. But that's not good for alkaline pH. My pH was already between 7.4 and 7.6 before using it and now it's fluctuating to 6.8 or less. My tank is 110 gallons. The instructions on the bottle say 20 teaspoons of this product for an aquarium of this size. I only use 5 teaspoons. The picture shows what my aquarium looks like 24 hours after adding this product to my aquarium. That's even after a 25% water change.
