When I unpacked this thing I had high hopes. It's pretty durable and not cheap junk plastic. In a straight stream, it pushes a lot of water. Unfortunately I bought it for reverse flow. Backflow will block the normal outlet and open the side port to suck water. As long as the water exits below, the flow rate is very low. To be honest I don't see enough pressure to push water back through the gravel pack. Very disappointing! I eventually upgraded to a 70 and ran right through the gravel. It works

I like quick filters, they are great. They really help pick up small particles left in the water after I vacuumed the substrate and changed the water. You can run the quick filter for about an hour after a water change, then rinse the filter, let it dry and use it again in the following weeks after a water change.
