Works well: Fish and aquatic animals

Hide out there in my (seemingly crowded) fish tank. I like this design over those that have an LED display. I have a lot of snails and they love to crawl. Sometimes they stay on the heater and seem comfortable.

Nice heater for fish and aquatic animals

Bought this as a replacement because I liked the external digital display and other features. As long as I like it It's pretty accurate. The deviation is about 1 degree, tested with two different IR thermometers, but otherwise there are no problems.

Don't tear off the label!

This is perfect for a 1 gallon tank. This is great for juvenile fish as they cannot get stuck in it. Many other mini heaters have holes that can be dangerous for small fish. I believe the temperature is accurate for the most part. Especially since I leave the light on in the tank and the filter generates heat. My Molly Fry have no problems with the displayed temperature.

Temperature consistency is the best!

I've had several different heaters and this one is a tenth different than my thermometer than the temperature on the switch. So far, so good! Easy to use and fits in small spaces. I have a 9 gallon Fluval spec with my Betta Finley and have been constantly concerned about the water temperature. The previous heater I had was a whopping 50 watts, but the temperature difference was 2 to 4 points the entire time. This heater is great. I will update if necessary.

Great so far and safe for our Betta

After reading too many horrible reviews about cooking and killing fish with almost any aquarium heater on Amazon, I took a chance and decided on this one after looking at many heaters. The second week, and this is very accurate, seems very safe for our little Betta in his 3.5 gallon plastic tank. Does not work/heat: Fish and aquatic animals

This product was used for a quarantine aquarium. The first day I used the heater the water seemed slightly warm. The next day I saw my fish was getting worse and upon further inspection the water temperature was very cold when I put my hand in the tank. I even felt real heating and it put out a minimal amount of heat, not even enough to heat even a bowl tank, let alone the 3 gallons I quarantined a fish in. My fish later died but was sick before then so don't blame the heater but the water was…

Don't worry, a piece of inaccurate junk

This heater is incredibly inaccurate, the measured temperature deviates by at least 6 degrees from the actual one. I run a temperature controller with this unit as well as a traditional thermometer and both read a much lower reading than what the heater thinks. I have to set the heater higher than I want and even then it struggles to heat the 9-gallon tank. I need it to reach 73 degrees, indoor ambient temperature is about 65 degrees at night in winter.
