Description of 💧 Revitalize Your Water with Aquatic Life Booster Reverse Osmosis System

The Smart Buddie Booster Pump is quiet, easy to install, and can significantly increase water output and improve water quality. Increased water pressure improves the efficiency of the unit (less waste water) as well as the quality of the water; RO units thrive on pressure. The sealed pressure pump is low-voltage and powered by the included transformer, which ensures safe, quiet operation. The Smart Buddie Booster Pump includes an internal automatic flush valve that flushes the membrane for 18 seconds every time the unit is activated. A built-in low pressure switch turns off the Smart Buddie Booster Pump if water pressure is less than 7.25 PSI, extending the life of the pump. NOTE: All Smart Buddie Booster Pumps are water tested at the factory before packaging so there might be some water inside the unit when unboxed.

Water Saving Kitchen & Bathroom Supplies

I love this booster, I make 5 gallons of distilled water and only 5 gallons of waste water in just 55 minutes at 80psi. Before the booster I used about 15-20 gallons for every 5 gallons of distilled water and it took about 2 hours, great product.

Even if your house has 60 psi pressure, you need it.

My house pressure is 25-30psi and this thing keeps the diaphragm at 95-100psi throughout the cycle and automatically flushes smoothly to keep the tank from clogging. My DI bed at 6 months is in MUCH better shape at 6 months than without this unit and my reverse osmosis membrane looks almost new and has barely crept 2ppm. Added to this is the complete absence of sewage. Thing works so well I'm ALMOST 1:1. The waste is a bit higher because when you reach 4 liters of water you have 4.5-4.6 liters…

Great pump. best in under sink and countertop filtration

Great pump, gives me about 87psi which is what I need. I run a 120 gallon pre-tank that brings the water home to room temperature before it's pumped. This allows for more efficient use of the water in the membrane. The colder the water, the less effective it is. The pump works great, a workhorse. I use about 200 liters a week. The only thing I would like is to change the delay/threshold sensor to allow float tripping. This doesn't turn off with a float, it turns off but then repeats again and…

My persistent problem with cycling has been solved!

This is the second one I have bought. I bought the first one about a year ago and had a general problem with them. They keep turning on and off about every 3 seconds. I tried adding check valves but it didn't help at all so I figured it should be ok. The first one eventually died and I thought I'd give it another chance. I installed a new one and it started doing the same thing, turning on and off every 3 seconds. Then I thought maybe it doesn't have enough back pressure, which is causing…

As described, a bit expensive.

I bought these to replace my existing reverse osmosis pump. Positive are: very easy installation, good customer service, the pump includes a throttle, an automatic shut-off and a check valve. The only downside is that customer service says they "can't regulate the on and off pressure, so it turns on with only a 10psi pressure drop." cause TDS creep. In other words, your TDS increases every time it is turned on. I overcame this by putting a T in the input line of the POST filter and setting a…

Just great! Best in Kitchen & Bath

I love this item! I've been using this for a few months and it's great. This increased my pressure to 110. I connected it to my A tank and also to my mixed water changing station. ***Update*** This thing was a lifesaver and a workhorse! I moved a few months ago and it took me 3-4 days to get down to 1.5. All with my existing Ro hardware. It's now set up to automatically service my ato (20 gallon) and water tank (25 gallon). It takes 2 to 3 hours to fill both or after I do a water change. The…

Best Kitchen & Bathroom Lifesaver

I am using this with a SpectraPure Max Cap RO/DI filter. I bought the latter because my tap water contains silicates that cause brown diatoms when I change the water. The problem is that the water pressure in my faucet has reached 38psi. As a result, it took 3 1/2 hours to produce 5 gallons of water. For every gallon of filtered water, I also threw away 7 gallons. The Smart Buddy amp solved all my problems right away. It will automatically pressurize to about 90psi. This more than doubled the…

Better than 1:1 production! (SpectraPure 180 gpd)

Just received today and hooked up as soon as I got home. First, I run it on a SpectraPure manual flush at 180 gallons/day, which is the equivalent of 2 consecutive 90 gallon/day membranes, and I run a second charcoal instead of DI because I use it for my discus cymbals. AquaticLife told me it might not work, but after reading reviews from people who had the same system, they said it worked great, so I decided to give it a try. With my old setup I got over a 4:1 drop at 40psi and 68 degrees by…

Not advertised pressure and waste water still flows

The pump only increases the water pressure by about 10psi over my supply pressure of 40psi. I had to relocate the line to the reverse osmosis manometer to get an accurate reading because if the installation instructions were followed exactly the manometer would stay in front of the line coming out of the pump, not behind it so it wouldn't register. The line pressure delivered by the pump is accurate. After being moved, the gauge now vibrates quite severely with the pump running, so I would…

My bad luck or cheap parts?

I bought this pump to add to my RO Buddy 100 gpd. I really liked the idea that they put all the necessary components in one box and it was very easy to set up as each port was clearly labeled on the device. The problems started after I ran the pump for 24 hours. That worked well in the first round. It was connected to a float valve. After the first 24 hours the pump started cycling on and off and never got the correct PSI. I have contacted Aquatic Life Technical Support. They didn't try too…
