Good and stable with a touch of girly

The siphon is worth the investment. IMPORTANT - Yes, the sink adapter has a lower tensile strength than plastic, but is easy to work with and therefore does not require much maintenance. A lot of the reviews say it broke or something, but most of the pics are due to it being overtightened/tightened over and over again. They don't have to be very tight unless your pressure is very high, but mine is too and I haven't had any leaks from it. Just tighten it, tell it to stop, and then drain theโ€ฆ

Costs $20 with some minor modifications.

Well, this water changer isn't bad, but it has one major weak point - the sink connection. It's plastic and the first time I used it, the pressure of the water stripped the threads. Luckily it was an easy $8 fix, but still. I definitely recommend buying a Lowes metal adapter. Also, this is exactly what I was looking for and it's definitely better than 5 gallons. Note: I still use a bucket and a standard water capsule to clean the vacuum because the suction of this water changer is not strongโ€ฆ

Several disadvantages. for fish and aquatic life

I have a python water changer for my main tank but decided to buy it for my second tank to avoid cross contamination. It definitely has a few downsides compared to reality. The fittings that attach to the sink are plastic, which means the threads wear out fairly quickly. Also, the gravel suction nozzle tends to fall off no matter how tightly I screw it onto the hose, and often when I'm filling the tank the pump leaks. If you're looking for something that saves you bucket hauling and you're on a

Scrap, buy something else

Seeing years of reviews with the same issue as mine. It's all flimsy plastic, and the end that screws onto a hose or faucet breaks off when the blue switch is flipped from vacuum to fill with a simple lever. I bought 2 and had them replaced 3 times under warranty and the manufacturer said it was my fault I overtightened them. i am plumber I tried softer pads and this time I used 3 inch pads. a flex line between the faucet and the flow control, and it was even quicker than before, even though Iโ€ฆ

Saved my aching back and my marriage!

was damaged OMG! This product saved my life! I had a small 10 gallon aquarium with a few goldfish and water changes were easy. I really liked the aquarium so I decided to up my game and buy a 29 gallon because the fancy goldfish were getting too big. But that wasn't enough, so I bought a 55 gallon aquarium and used it as a tropical freshwater to try angelfish breeding! So, with 10 gallons, 29 gallons, and 55 gallons, water changes just got more and more efficient! I didn't come to fish to work!

Its cheap quality for $ but works

I have had this 50ft water changer for quite some time now. I have used the 25ft and 50ft versions side by side for different aquariums set up in different rooms (using one per aquarium to protect the aquariums from potential cross contamination issues). To be honest I can only speak about my personal experience with the product. I give the Aqueon 4/5 water change system on both the 25 and 50 feet that I own. The reason it's not a 5/5 for me is because the product, like everyone else, justโ€ฆ

The hottest flame burns the fastest.

This is both the best thing that has happened to my aquarium and the worst. The idea behind this product is amazing and it even works amazingly. in a short time. A few things to note about this product: - The quality of the plastic is very cheap and the plastic parts break very easily! typically 80psi). They are rated at 25-30 psi. The gravel tube you get is (IMO) too short unless you want to clean your aquarium in full snorkeling gear! (I slightly changed the pipe to an 18" pipe for my 55โ€ฆ
