Very nice design. Like that miniature vertical asteroid console you used to play at your local arcade or liquor store. Nostalgia factor 10 + fun 10+

I was hoping it would be big enough to maneuver an adult's arms, but I overestimated the overall size. Probably should have just gone to a real arcade.

The sound effect and casing are authentic enough, but the Tiger's cheap 198x portable LCD can't even come close to replicating the feel of an arcade. Pros: Authentic sounds. The cabinet is detailed and well finished. Cons: LCD display with non-removable elements Weak controls NO HYPERSPACE!

The game doesn't look like the original Asteroids, but it works like a little video game from the 1980's. I used to buy a little Miss PacMan for my daughter, similar size/price - and had a real screen on it - played just like the real thing. This device is practically unplayable. The case looks good - that's all - I was very disappointed with the gameplay.

Instead of the style you might remember as your ship sails around the map shooting at asteroids; he in the middle. Your ship stays in the center and from there you select frames. You still have a hyperspace key that takes you away for a second. I remember Atari more than Arcade, so as far as I know that's it, but that's how it was. Some kind of crap. It's still a game in the spirit of asteroids.
