Very simple, very calm, very happy.

I'm bringing a 98SE machine that is sooooo old back to life and realized it might need some extra cooling. Saw these fans at 5 for less than $20 and I didn't stop by. Great offer. The 2 fans went in with no problems, easy to fix and very quiet. The only thing I hear is the PSU fan as it's about twice the size. Sounds like I never installed it. They seem to be squeezing a decent amount of air. Just what this old car needs. Now, as soon as I reinstall the OS, it connects my XP, WIN 8, and Ubuntu…

Pros
  • DOUBLE SIDED INSTALLATION: Blowing warm air out of the case, drawing cold air into the case
Cons
  • Useless functions

Doesn't move much air

This is maybe an 80mm Fan you shouldn't worry about it. I bought two of these and out of the box one rotated about twice as fast as the other, I didn't measure it but you could tell by looking at the labels. After installing and testing them, I connected the power supply when the blade of one jammed and it blew out in a second. It was my inattentiveness, not a problem with the fan. Then I bought a low noise (not silent) standard model to replace the fried one. It moves a little more air, is…

Pros
  • LONG LIFESPAN: The hydrodynamic bearing comes with an oil capsule that prevents grease leakage, so this bearing is as quiet as a plain bearing but has a longer lifespan
Cons
  • Little things

SP > AF All Day - Computers and Accessories

I have these Bought for use in the k77 ITX case. There are two 80mm fan mounts on the case and these little beasts do a great job. Two more are housed in the Super Microserver case and work there as expected. Not as good as a standard moving air server fan, but also a bit noisy. I would buy them again if I needed more 80mm fans, no question. Vibrations, apparently due to bearing loosening. There is side play on the fan blades. It's enough to be audible and resonate with the panels on my K77, so

Pros
  • INNOVATIVE DESIGN: Fan blade design improves airflow and promotes efficient ventilation, impeller is engineered with an emphasis on minimizing noise levels while still providing desired airflow and pressure
Cons
  • Lots of things

Quality control everywhere.

I ordered about 10 pieces. 80mm x 80mm x 25mm boxes F8 value packs (5 fans per box) for 2-3 years. I had about 2 DOA fans out of about 35-40 fans. I also had about 2 crashes while at work for about 3 days. I had about 6-7 failures in the field. And since I guarantee the product I'm selling for 1 year, I'm not happy that they sent it back to me just to replace the stupid fan. They cost me more money than the price I saved on them. One great thing about them is that they really are incredibly…
