The description says it's for boys but the zipper is like a jacket for a girl. The zipper often gets stuck and is awkward to open and unzip. The jacket is warm but not light.

I think this is the 5th jacket from this brand and 3rd in this style that we bought when my 2 boys were growing up. They're also durable and will keep you warm during the northern Minnesota winters. Best of all, they're durable and can be passed on, gifted, or sold even when my outdoor hooligans have outgrown them.

The Arctix Cyclops Padded Jacket for boys is light and warm. My son loves that it's not too bulky and doesn't restrict movement. He says it's comfortable and he likes the colors/style. It attaches easily and is well made. I'm glad he's happy with it and will wear it. I took this for a ten year old boy. I wasn't sure if he would like this style, but he loved it. It tends to have long sleeves, which is always a problem with jackets, but it fits well. He liked the design and I liked the quality of the material, stitching and finish. This jacket is, in my opinion, heavy enough to be worn in the winter while still being water repellent to be worn in the rainy cold months. The dual function makes this jacket very advantageous.

It's warm and appears to be well made. It looks more like a department store coat than a branded coat. We have had several coats from this brand and this one was really our favourite. The style and fit are pretty good, but not great.
