Excellent powerful little camera

I use this camera as a webcam. Others always comment on how sharp my video turned out. The auto focus lens works much better than I thought. Windows 10 did not require any additional drivers.

Pros
  • In stock
Cons
  • Expensive

Worth the price!

This device far exceeded my expectations for using the camera/mic in Zoom sessions. Auto focus is sharp, audio is great. I use sticky back foam to attach it to the top of the monitor. Win 10 will be recognized and installed immediately. Plus no waiting for delivery out of the country.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Maybe indoors?: Webcams

It seemed to work fine indoors. When hovering outdoors, it doesn't adjust to changing lighting conditions and white balance. Something can be configured through the software, but you have to change it manually. I gave that up and switched to a Logi wide-angle camera, which costs more but gives a much better picture. Just another trash basketball.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Works fine on Linux

The camera is easy to use, just plugs into a USB port and works like a very compact webcam. With Linux you don't need anything special: it can be configured with the standard Video4Linux software. I needed this because the default settings gave the video a pretty gray, washed-out look.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

It's an Arduino project camera, nothing more.

I'm not entirely sure what the developer intended as a camera app. If you read the description they have several uses listed. I was going to write a long review but changed my mind. What I'm saying is that the camera works but is very limited in its capabilities. Autofocus - no. not really. The resolution is so high that it cannot be used effectively as a security camera unless used to test the printer as detailed on the Revain website. 1.5 minutes gave me 192MB of storage. with compression…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost everything included

All the bells and whistles are the best in webcams

Auto focus, microphone, good video and picture quality. I am using this in a multi-monitor KVM setup. It swaps perfectly with KVM. The base is square and may have screws or nails driven into multiple holes in the base. That's just the thickness I can hang over the top of my center screen. The camera swivels for easy alignment. The microphone picks up keyboard noise quite strongly. So if you're typing during a meeting, you need to remember to mute the sound. I've found that this always takes…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Functionality

Saved me by showing documents in the video conference.

I needed a better webcam to view documents during video conferences. My webcam has good resolution, brightness, and contrast, but poor focal length. This camera is superior in every way. The video picture is excellent. It works fine with Linux. It automatically focuses on my document to within a few inches (I didn't try closer), and now no one complains about the image no matter how small I write. The only issue I found was that there could be focus issues when the sun shines through the trees…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Weight
