Rescue Bracket - Building Materials Raw

I needed to install a new outdoor light in my garage. The old rebar was simply screwed into the electrical box behind the siding and exposed to the elements. This mounting kit has solved everything; A strong, flat and beautiful mount that fits perfectly with the control box, hiding it and the broken paneling around it. I installed it directly into the electrical box, routed the wiring through one of the cutouts, and attached the bracket. Installation took about 10 minutes. You should caulk…

Modifications may still be required

We thought this would solve our problems by buying fixtures with taller mounting plates. It took a bit of trimming to fit our side knees, which wasn't a big deal. However, since you only have two typical attachment points for the shim plate and they take up a lot of plastic space, we still can't center our light's base plate on the block. As long as your flashlight's mounting screws (turn the capscrews) are near the vertical centerline of your flashlight's mounting plate, you're fine. If they…

PERFECT for lights in houses with sidewalls

Seeing them here made me wonder "where were they" when I needed them. I have a house with aluminum walls and we recently decided to repaint. The fixtures on the house were screwed into the existing paneling. They always hung crooked and looked very crappy. They were uneven and very loose. When I discovered this product I got them immediately Ordered With regular exterior paint very easy to install through existing fairings and the fixings I installed They are very heavy fit perfectly flat and…

Sturdy, sticks to side wall

I bought a pair of these to hang spare lamps which were fixed directly to the side wall when the house was built. The builder (all those years ago) did a terrible job holding the old lights in place, thanks largely to a ton of caulk used to fill the gap between the siding and the base of the light. I was looking around for a mounting solution and came across this one. Very happy with them. Durable, hard ABS plastic, big enough to mount a carriage style street lamp. I had to reposition the lamp…
