I bought this to fit behind a wall mounted TV. All I wanted to send to the outlet was power, HDMI, sub-out and coax and ethernet. It has enough room for a surge protector outlet, about the same as any other 1-post outlet. The bezel is a little flimsy but feels solid - just don't over-tighten the screws.
