🔌 Convenient Arlo Accessory: Charging Station for Pro, Pro 2 - VMA4400C Compatible Review

Purchased this item in October 2017 and has only been able to successfully charge my camera batteries 4 times with it. It's June 2018 and the station doesn't even turn on anymore. I'm currently working with Netgear support to replace this item, but after my research these charging stations seem to stop working very quickly (same problem, won't turn on). So I would definitely not recommend this product.

This cable and the micro USB connectors on Arlo cameras are defective. I bought 5 refurbished Arlo Pro cameras and was able to charge them once with the cables that came with them. They didn't charge after that so I got this charger. I charged the batteries once and now it doesn't work anymore. I have tried several cables and chargers. The only reason I buy another charger is because it's too late to return the cameras.

Netger Arlo is a great idea but their hardware quality control is terrible. We've had so many issues with cameras, batteries and this charging dock not charging properly. And Netgear knew there were a lot of fake serial numbers out there, but didn't bother to do anything about it. Worst of all, you have to deal with Netgear support. Stops working after multiple uses. Many others had this problem. There is no electricity at the train station. This is due to inferior materials used for the micro USB socket. It deteriorates quickly. I confirmed this by examining the port with a 1000x digital microscope. If you are considering purchasing this item I would recommend that you connect the USB cable to the device once and then never remove it. This allows a longer connection to be provided. The charger is suitable for charging two batteries at the same time. There are no problems with charging. However, the reliability of the design of the docking station leaves much to be desired.
