Armour Etch Over Stencil Blank Review

Love this product! Decided to engrave glasses for Christmas gifts to colleagues. I couldn't find a stencil for what I wanted to do and using vinyl meant I had to cut out a design for each jar and I made 12. This product can be used over and over again and you can get it wet by rinsing. Cured cream, and it still holds! Love it!

I am very disappointed with the seller's description of this item - it is not as advertised. The stencil blank measures just 5" x 8" (smaller still if you include the border; see photo at top of page). However, Revain's product details section states that the dimensions are 5.5" x 12". While the packaging size of the product is 5.5"x12", the stencil itself is significantly smaller.

It was great! Really easy to cut. With the amount of detail I did I thought it would fall apart but it held until the etch cream was removed. Wasn't able to reuse any of these due to the sheer amount of detail, but I didn't try very hard to save the templates afterwards. I would say my only thing needs the most. The tape around the bottom took 2.25 pieces.

Absolute product joke. Bought to make my own stencils for a commission. After spending all this time hand cutting the stencil, I peel off the stencil I just made and half of the "glue" comes off the stencil. This rendered my stencil completely unusable. I tried a second time. Same result. A lot of time and patience wasted. I do not recommend this product and will not buy it again.

I use these stencils to etch glass with Armor Etch Cream. for a benefit event for the non-profit association "Wild Cat". I started glass etching by making my own contact paper templates. It works, but it's very difficult to get clear lines because you're stenciling on glass. Vinyl stencils are amazing! I took great care to ensure my stencil was drawn exactly how I wanted it before engraving it with a fine knife. It turned out beautiful! Very happy with the vinyl. And I can reuse my stencils…
