💡 WFCO WF-9845 WF-9800 Series: High-Performance 45 Amp Deck Mount Converter Charger Review

This is the unit my 2003 Newmar RV came with and having had a PD unit in it for a number of years I know this one Unit actually none is very good substitute. My PD box died and all I could find on the street was another 45 amp WFCO. Don't take my word for it, a google search will turn up more than this review. Get PD with Charge Master and don't look back.

Perfect fit for my 11 year old defective device. It took me 10 minutes to uninstall the old one and install the new one. The only problem I have is that the instructions say to use a 5/16 hex wrench to loosen and tighten the wires. Went and bought a 5/16 wrench and came home to find it was actually a 5/32. Big difference here guys. I think it was a typo. But after installing it in the trailer, everything works perfectly again.

Super fast delivery. Works as it should. I bought this to replace the same original model that was damaged when I accidentally plugged the bus into 250v instead of the usual 125v on a trip out of state. I sent Revane Prime's ship to camp and received it two days later. Couldn't have asked for more! By the way, after removing the cover of the old converter, I found that the damage was limited to the MOV and the fuse. I replaced both and now I have a spare transducer.

The device lasted twenty months before becoming toast. This is covered by a two-year guarantee, but just try to go through all the necessary procedures to get your money back. I called the company and was met with apathy. I went ahead and bought another (suck me) to avoid the hassle and get the van back in service and easy to swap out. They increased the price by twenty dollars over the last one. Another of those you pay money to and take risks makes a deal. Last time in this outfit.

The 11 year old WFC #WF-8845 is no exception. This WF-9845 is the current replacement for the old 45W 8845 and works quite well. It's a bit smaller than the old block, so if you're replacing the 8845, this 9845 will fit just fine. Only one thing kept me from giving it 5 stars and that was the fact that for some reason WFC couldn't match the mounting holes on the new one with the holes on the old one. Our caravan (Fleetwood Mallard 290RLS) headlights went dimmer and dimmer and when the AC was on the gas detector was switched on squeaks due to undervoltage.
