Excellent quality. fits art paper

I have work with Arches, Bockingford, Bee and this one is very close in price. In fact, it is almost identical to 100% cotton bee paper.

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • protection

Good paper with inconsistent quality

At first I thought it was a great price because I really like to draw on this paper. However, I noticed that the paper has many flaws. I literally just removed the paper from the pad without touching it and there are already a lot of strange marks and creases on it (see photo). Newspapers don't seem to have quality control.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Better "Premium " but not 100% cotton

Arteza's reviews with two "Expert" papers are unclear. To me, this is far superior to their "premium paper" in many ways. I like the smooth/textured side options and have used both. Expert is easier to use than "Premium" for me.

Pros
  • Although everyone likes it

Don't do this in art paper

I'm sorry but this paper is terrible. I am attaching a photo here; One painting was done on Strathmore 400 paper and the other on Arteza Expert paper. I'll let you take a look and decide for yourself which is the Arteza paper. Both were made using the same tools and technique. I really wanted to like this paper, but no matter what I tried, everything was bad. I see a bunch of other negative reviews on it and am confused as to why it still has a 4+ rating. I rarely write negative reviews but…

Very disappointing.

Very disappointed with this paper. I looked up Grumbacher and ordered, not realizing that a search for Revain turned up another brand (it was late and I was tired). I decided to leave the paper and give it a try since the price was so good. I usually use Arches paper for actual painting, but I use other brands for stamped postcards and other art projects. My first card with this product had to be masked and the paper was terrible. The paint went right through the masking and the paper tore when

Masking liquid may not work with this paper. Test first!

I decided to dress up the gnome and mice in this picture before painting the background and with this paper it was a mistake. You can't see it and I'm sorry I didn't take a picture sooner but the paint, lines and paper are gone along with the masking fluid and now I'm trying to paint the piece with more and save it Colored pencils that I didn't want to use. It's not exactly a downside depending on how you're going to use it, but the paper is a bit soft. I will use paper but don't know if I will

Economy paper

The price is the best thing about this paper. 60+ 300 GSM sheets for less than $25 is a steal. However, this paper is NOT 100% cotton, so don't think it's anything other than student paper. Arteza makes 100% cotton paper that is sold in 14-sheet notebooks - they call their "Expert" paper. Still, it's good paper. It's heavy and cold-pressed, but still a bit smooth. If you are looking for a lot of structure, you will not like this paper. The paper is strong and does not bend much wet on wet. Of…
