My daughter loves to draw and we support her. I recently bought her a leather cover for books this size, and one of them came with it. I have since started working on my own leather to fit them and they are durable. She likes the weight and says they hold their ink and lead well. I will buy more. Good price compared to what I paid locally.

Gifted to a young artist. Upon opening the packaging we found that one of the two books was made in such a way that the white paper inside one of the covers was cut short and uneven which was very disappointing. Also, the cover of either album was not strong enough to withstand the sticker removal. The black cover has peeled off like a thin layer of thick paper. Very, very bad quality. I was very sad and a bit ashamed that I gave away these sketchbooks.

I bought these albums to use different media: charcoal, watercolor, markers, etc. And this album is amazing! A few tips for use: if you use watercolors, be aware that freckles will appear on them. Personally, I don't like freckles, but they don't look too dark, so I don't mind. And when you use markers it flows to the other side of the paper and gets onto the paper behind when you start layering it. As someone who is constantly on the hunt for the right sketchbook, I've figured out what paper I need. The paper has two textures, the front is smoother than the back. I found it perfect for alcohol markers because, as you can see in the photos, it didn't bleed through to the next page no matter how much I layered (although I still recommend scrap paper just in case).
