Need a good tool with two upgrades

I've been buying this tool for a while but didn't get a chance to change the oil until last weekend. I used it for an oil change on an RX350. It was pretty easy. There are two improvements or features I would like to see in this tool: 1. the ability to use this tool with a 3/8 inch extension. I had to buy a 24mm socket to use with a torque wrench. But if accuracy is not important to you, a regular wrench will do. stuck to the oil filter. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to gently pry it…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Made in USA for Oil Filter Wrench

Fits snugly on 64mm oil filters used in Toyota vehicles and some Honda vehicles. It is made of aluminum alloy, which is durable and rust-resistant. The hex wrench requires a 15/16 or 24mm spanner, but I found both sizes fit a little messy, so I recommend using a 6-point head and avoiding 12-point spanners, which shift easily can round off. In my opinion, this does not detract from the quality of the tools, but it is worth mentioning for the test report. I can almost fit on a 23mm head, and I'm…

It's the only way

When I tested this tool I was afraid it would slip off and make removing the filter difficult. When I got it from Revain I wasn't worried at all. It is well made and durable. Generally no bends. I had to use a breaker to loosen the filter cap and no problem so far. It worked the way it was supposed to, and as soon as I saw that the body didn't bend, I knew it was going to happen. This is the one used on the 2010-2014 Prius and it is 64mm, not the 65.5mm or 65mm that was needed on the 2005-2009…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

This tool is a must have

If you're a DIY (DIY) guy like me, I highly recommend using this specialty tool to remove the oil filter housing. The old soft metal tools used to remove oil filters are not suitable for removing new plastic canisters with a replaceable paper filter. I have a 2010 Toyota Camry and decided to change the oil myself. Friends say it's much more convenient and cheaper to change the oil at a service center, but I've changed the oil on all my cars since my first '65 Chevy Impala and I won't change it…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Modern

I changed the oil in a 2011 Toyota Corolla (1.8L) with a stupid cartridge type filter that shouldn't be in any modern car. Spin-ons have always been around and require the simplest of tools, a strap wrench (actually I used a leather strap) and in a pinch it can be pierced and removed with a screwdriver. The cartridge case of this particular vehicle is made of plastic. The last person who changed the oil (Jiffy-somebody) tightened it so tight I couldn't loosen it with a stamped $5 wrench that…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits
