Great replacement camera

For a fraction of the price of a factory camera, this was a perfect replacement and the only non-factory camera I could find that had recommendations that mattered to me.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Frequency

2011 Ford Edge - it works!

There are many third party vendors of these cameras and one could only guess which would fit. This worked for me on my 2011 Ford Edge. Installation took less than an hour.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Worked! Returned my backup camera to me.

Image quality is better than new. I didn't have to program either. It was gross, but that was because someone had already opened the backend. Watch YouTube and you can do it without the HUGE amount of money the dealer wanted. First, make sure you have the right tools. This is a good buy!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • boring packaging

Worked on 2013 Ford Edge

Our 2013 Edge had a flickering camera. The dealer is offering about $800 for a replacement. After searching, I settled on this camera and watched a YouTube video to learn the process. Took me about 2 hours as I was very careful not to break anything (as usual). This setup wasn't too bad and we now have a camera that works great. Since she's brand new, I don't know how long she'll live. Now I can replace that twice as fast if needed.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Band

Almost OEM but not quite for the 2012 Ford Edge

Ford wanted ridiculous money to change that and I found this camera here. As you notice in my picture above, this is an ORIGINAL OEM camera that has failed. The glass lens is convex and has a nice curved shape. This Amazon replacement is completely flat over the lens and has a different perspective when mounted. Now my rear camera is looking down at the ground more than before. I used to be able to see more things further behind me, but now I'm looking closer at the car. For $80 I'll be fine…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Almost OK

Much better than OEM

Much better than the original camera and I even got guide lines which I didn't have before the picture got very, very good. I recommend this to anyone having rear camera issues. For their Ford, I saved anywhere from $5 to $600 on labor and parts, so don't go to the dealer, do it yourself. It took me about 45 minutes to do everything and that's all that works properly, hopefully it will last a while and i said i recommend that you clean the bottom of the product you care about as you will see a…

Pros
  • Very impressive

  • Fading
