AT&T's 993 Wired Dual Channel Speakerphone with Headset Jack

The phone is fully functional. It sits a bit flat but has a backlit LED screen so it's easy to see the time, date, caller ID, etc. It has a wired or wireless (with wired base) headset jack. I really like the large and conspicuous number pad, it's easy to see, type numbers and just feel safe pressing the keys. My favorite feature is the one-touch speed dial. It's really a touch. You look at the phone, press a button and it dials the number through the speakerphone or through the headset. Many of

Really decent corded phone

I work from home a lot so I mostly work through conference calls and email. It's important that I have a good speakerphone with good sound quality on both ends of the line. This phone ticks all the boxes. I've had him for two years now. I've tried several other phones and keep coming back to this one. Why? For me the sound quality is the best. It can get very loud when you turn up the volume on both the handset and the speaker, and most importantly, the audio is very crisp and clear on both the

Dual-line phone is great for home use

Not everyone needs a dual-line desk phone, but you don't have to be in an office to appreciate its convenience. For my purposes, I decided to limit my AT&T landline to mostly local calls with no additional services, and decided to add an Internet-based (VOIP) setup at the same time. Choose Ooma because it offers a regular phone number and coexists well with a landline, making a two-line phone a worthy investment. Most outgoing calls are made over a VOIP connection, while the AT&T line not only…

Does exactly what a hands free phone should do

I bought this unit to use as a home phone and have been using it for six months now. I don't need a second line throughout the house, but I spend a lot of time on conference calls and wanted an inexpensive device with two lines and a good speakerphone. were new. Paid $23 including shipping from Harbor Electronics. The sound quality is very good and more than loud enough (with the exception mentioned later). Easy to program speed dial numbers. The display isn't the brightest - typically dark…

Terrible customer service

This phone works well and does what it's supposed to do pretty well. Like all new phones, it's not as durable or of the same high quality as phones of the past, but unfortunately we can't hope to change it. However, the phone easily connects to just two lines if you use the cables that come with it. If (like me) you need longer ones, there are difficulties that aren't immediately obvious (you need a four-point cable and one with two points, and they need to be plugged into the right…
