First of all, the cherry stain is not what my wife or I like. Fine sandpaper and black paint easily solve this problem. As others have said, the finger holes on top are too small, just over 1/64 of an inch. The correct size is 15/64 inch, not the usual drill bit size. When the product arrived I was trying to assemble it. When trying to screw in the plastic plugs at the bottom of the base, I noticed that one wouldn't screw in. The wire coming from the post going through the hole wasn't straight, forcing it to push against the wall of the hole. (Not leaving enough room for the cap to attach the wire to the base). I love this CD rack - I have a collection of over 300 CDs and they took up half the wall of a normal CD rack in my living room.
