for my anchor - Sport

I put this on the front of the kayak and it works great. There is only a small anchor for my kayak. Good product. I like how it's attached to the rope, hold it until I want to pull the rope.

Pros
  • Absolutely great!
Cons
  • Having problems

Works perfectly. 3/8 rope recommended

Works well. The 15 pound anchor rolls well. The rope clamp does not work well with 1/2 inch rope. It's hit and miss when he's clamping that thickness. So I put it next to the rope shackle. 3/8 inch diameter rope grips well.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Very fast shipping Best in Vents and Deck Plates

Very fast shipping which is the most important thing to me. That's why I buy so much Revain PRIME stuff. A strong product that I use behind another anchor lock as a backup. Had these years ago and hope this one lasts as long as the others.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Do not use 1/4 " anchor line.

If you use smaller diameter rope it may come off the pulley, I use 1/2". I wish you could fix them with a metal pulley as plastic degrades when exposed to UV light, maybe try painting it if that helps.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Quick Guide

That's a great idea. - Boat

When you have a small boat, it's important to organize every square inch as best as possible. This little lightweight device does just that. No more tangled anchor line. Makes setting and hauling in your anchor less of a hassle. I recommend this tool, it's an inexpensive solution to an annoying problem.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Empty

I have some! best boot accessory

I bought one of these and then three more. I bring old small fishing boats to life and equip them well before handing them over to new owners; and I put that on every boat and new owners always notice it. They work, are easy to use and hold the anchor when raised and hanging on the boat. They don't damage the rope. I have two installed on my river boat and I can control them myself from any position in the boat. Durable, useful and cheap as far as I'm concerned.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Forgot anchor - drove 1 hour at 75mph while

This unit is the best deal on Revain. I promise I won't get paid to say that. I forgot to put this anchor back in the boat after charging after a full day of fishing. I drove home at 75mph for an hour with this anchor hanging 1ft above the boat. The anchor line didn't slip one iota. The anchor was bobbing happily in the SAME PLACE as I pulled into my garage. Unreal. I can't believe this device costs $7. A tip: Use a round braided anchor line, not an oval material; better catch with a circular…

Pros
  • was hanging on this unit Great for me
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Great tether lock with one missing feature

This is a great little tether lock for a canoe or kayak. I have it for my canoe. That works great. The only thing I would like is the lock return spring. Initially I bought a cheap 1/4 inch tether that pushed the lock too hard. So when a weight was placed on the lock, the flimsy, cheap rope would just compress and slip through the lock. I bought a nicer 3/8" tether that works great. It's just a bit embarrassing that the thicker cable prevents it from being lowered to the lock, as there is no…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • A few little things
