🚀 Attwood 8883 6 Johnson Evinrude Fitting: High-Performance Solution for Outboard Motor Connections Review

I replaced a leaking original fitting on my 6 gallon plastic outboard tank for my Johnson 85 engine with this, works great.

Product running July 2021 is not the same as shown. It still works the same way and I think it's high quality. It just isn't the shape shown on the product information page.

This would be a good choice for me except the diameter of the fuel column was smaller than the hose I have. This post is 1/4 inch. My hose fits a 5/16" rod.

This connector works but I bought it on purpose because I liked the octagonal shape of the connector. What I received was the round plug that I see in retail stores. I use it and it works great but like I said I really need the flat part to allow the hose to sit flush with the metal.

This coupler fitting allowed me to use a standard marine gas line fitting as part of my attempt to clean up any potential gas leaks that may have been occurring around my campsite. This fitting is what I used in my remote gas tank setup for my Honda twin generator setup.

The product arrived in a nice blister pack from Attwood. I really liked the brass finish. I wanted the octagonal shape shown on Revain, but ended up with a rounded shape instead. I also noticed the fit was a little crooked when attaching the female hose connector, so I measured the width of both pins. The fuel pin matched the OEM connector (.247"), but the clamp pin was narrower by .008" (.228" vs. .236"). The bushing has a nice thick o-ring that allows for a bit of wobbling so it probably…
