Just what I needed

I use this amp to power an AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro Bassshaker I have on my couch and it works great! The amp is small, has a separate power switch and delivers more than enough power for my purposes. I use the subwoofer mode, but I can't comment on the sound quality as there is no sound from the bass shaker. I've only had the amp for a few weeks but so far I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Feels great
Cons
  • Not the best

Didn't work with Soundshaker

Maybe I just got a bad set, but it barely worked with the SoundShaker speaker I got in my Seatcraft bed (the effect is overrated, by the way, at least with a SoundShaker that comes with the chair, you hardly feel anything through all the upholstery). This amp behaved like it had no gain unless I turned the subwoofer +20dB away from the receiver and cranked the volume to a deafening level. For example +6 dB for normal hearing -20 dB. I switched to another Fosi device "TDA7498E". It's just for…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Paired with Buttkicker Mini Concert Bass Shakers

Just want to pop in and say they seem to work well with bass shakers. I bought two amps and each have a Buttkicker Mini Concert (2 ohms) connected to them. I use it for sim racing (iRacing) and after a few hours of driving they had no problems. They seem to be working fine. Hope they last long. You are small! I used a Buttkicker amp, but the amp comes with a remote control and the volume is controlled by two buttons. Every time I turned off the device, the volume reset! Then I had to adjust it…

not bad! pretty good!

That's why I usually connect my devices to normal receivers after mixers and distributors. The bass is enhanced by a car radio with external power supplies and a cab of about 12. I never liked the form factor, but the performance was good, as was the price for comparable hardware. Rack amps are loot. Eventually my amp started getting wheezes (audio flow) and the 25 amp hp I had has a fan and it's very annoying. I decided to try new hardware to see and I wanted to move the controls to my desk…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Complete junk: not 100 watts, loud and cheap Power adapter

Had high hopes based on the positive reviews here, but this unit is total junk and I will be returning it. I have a very similar unit from Dayton Audio, a 2.1 amp that delivers 50 watts each to the left and right channels, plus 100 watts to a separate subwoofer channel. Fosi was supposed to replace a dead 100 watt amp from a powered subwoofer, so I have two points of reference. First of all, this thing can't even get close to 100 watts. My subwoofer, cranked all the way up, barely whispered. A…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • No car

Great subwoofer amp

I had a 4 way speaker with a 12 inch woofer that I thought could be turned into a subwoofer. All I needed was an amp. This one is perfect. It's tiny, fits in the palm of your hand, and reproduces sound without distortion. It has a control that allows you to adjust the frequency at which the subwoofer will turn on. You should NOT switch on the mids, otherwise you will lose the channel separation and the subwoofer will not be able to reproduce them anyway. I place the controller roughly in the…

  • Slim design

GOOD VALUE FOR PRICE! GOOD SOUND QUALITY! BOOM BASS!

I had an old Sony DAV-FR1 surround sound system in my bedroom that receiver was dying so I bought a new Sony STR-DH590 for $199 and a Polk Audio Center Channel for $77 and I hooked it up to old Sony bookshelf speakers I had lying around and the bass wasn't enough. So I repurposed a Sony SS-WS12 passive subwoofer from a broken Sony DAV-FR1, hooked it up to a Fosi M02 mono channel subwoofer amplifier and hooked it up to my new Sony STR-DH590 and wow! BOOM bass! If you don't believe me, check out…

Pros
  • Switchable full frequency and subwoofer

Money saved buying a new subwoofer

I have had a Sony surround sound system for a few years now. It wasn't a high-end system, but it served its purpose. However, over the years the display has become progressively dimmer and it has sometimes been difficult to even turn it on. One day it just wouldn't turn on, so I decided it was time to replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement cost a lot more than I expected. Only the receiver/amplifier cost more than I paid for the whole system the first time. Also, almost all receivers…
