Pontoon fits marine electronics

Fits flush on the back of my pontoon. Looks good and is relatively unobtrusive. Had full signal all day on a lake in Tennessee. determine lifespan.

Cons
  • Damaged

Best reception in marine electronics

Installed on my boat, directly in front of the helm. People block his view and touch him (out of curiosity I guess) and he never loses signal. The mast mount can be removed to mount flush with the boat's fiberglass. Best Marine XM Antenna!

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Great product for a boat or RV

Wow! What difference does it make in our XM reception in our RV. While the roof was being changed, the guys installed it on the roof. It was easy for her to stretch the wire as everything was open. We had a house antenna on the dash and the signal came and went. Now we also get a signal under branches if they are not completely closed. Everything is great when driving. Low profile and good quality. I wish I could fit something like this 9 years ago when I bought an RV!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Useless features

Not a complete antenna kit sold by Terk

This "kit" does not include the slotted extension cable required to use this antenna with a standard 1"-14 marine mount. The antenna has a TNC connector ( 6" from the antenna) which is too big to fit through most mounts, so my first option is to cut the TNC connector and splice the cable. The joint is located where it is constantly exposed to sun and water. Although I have successfully spliced satellite radio cables and am quite experienced with lasers and electronics, this kind of thing really

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Reliability
