Wrong item sent twice

I paid for thistle seed and instead they sent me crushed corn first. I contacted customer service and they promised me they would send the correct product. A few days later I received another bag of crushed corn. I refuse to receive the correct product that I ordered and paid for.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons

Suitable for finch feeder

Small yellow finches eat this feed. However, they seem to like the "regular" bird seed in a "regular" (not inverted) feeder a little more. However, I put it in front of the kitchen window and they visit me regularly; and that pleases the ornithologists in the family.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Seeds are fine - packaging is very easy to use

Seeds are eaten by birds so everything should be fine. The best thing about this product is the packaging! It's incredibly easy to open and pour. I never have to put my hands on it or manipulate a piece of newspaper to collect the excess. And then it closes safely! I feel bad about all the plastic bags but this is a very handy product. I will order this more often.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative gift

Goldfinches love it

and of course it fills the finch feeders perfectly. Arrived on time, fresh seeds. The reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that the bag was slightly torn so a few seeds were lost - I have no complaints, not even 2 tbsp. I have bought Nyjer seeds from other sources and this is a common problem so be aware it happens. Otherwise, it is an excellent seed source.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • A few little things

Happy with seed, frustrated with actual bag size

I knew it wasn't going to be a big bag, but I would like more bang for the buck. I bought it for a Kaytee Finch Station 2 and it completely filled the feeder with maybe 1/3 cup left over which I just sprinkled on my deck and enjoyed watching squirrels, pigeons and house finches feed. I know we have goldfinches here, but they haven't come to the feeder yet.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

Different quality, my bag was torn

This must be a different quality product, these seeds were ignored by the birds, the feeders were full. Smaller companies may not be able to source product from the same sources year-round, which explains why others are luckier. I switched it to Wagner and the next day the goldfinch and purple finch were back. A £20 Wagner bag costs half the pound. Birds eat about 10 pounds a month so that matters to me; I just bought my 3rd bag this year.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • High price

The finches are thriving - casual but happy

I was warned that if I filled the finch feeder with Audubon Quality Nyjer seeds I would see an explosion of ravenous birds. It was beyond amazing. Yellow bellies, black and white striped tails, black heads, ground jumpers are hungry, angry, happy birds. And sloppy. The ground under the feeder turns black from fallen seeds, more than the "bottom bins" can use. This is the only downside. The feeder should be positioned over an area where large piles of tiny seeds can fall without creating an…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Nothing here
