Autel MaxiAP AP200C: Wireless OBDII Scan Tool with Advanced Diagnostics for iOS & Android - ABS, SRS, Airbag, Oil Reset, EPB, SAS, DPF, BMS, Throttle & More Review

Basically I bought an Autel AP200C to bleed the ABS module on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 double cab. Unfortunately, bleeding the ABS on my car is not supported.

This small but handy tool is ideal if you don't want to carry around a huge scanner. It displays real-time data, just like my larger tablet scan tool. Super easy to use. I have used it on 4 of my personal cars and it connected to each of them very easily and read all the data including the VIN.

The product arrived on time. It took me a while to install the app and go through the setup and bluetooth. It was a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you understand what it all means, it's a great product and easy to use. Inside is a guide that tells you how to set up the app and where to connect it to the car.

I paid the store $200 to bleed the brakes after replacing the ABS hydraulic unit, thinking buying a bi-directional scanner would cost hundreds more. Well the shop couldn't do that and lied to me about my brake pads/discs. Found this guy and fired him. I fixed it in a few hours with my son's help. This worked exactly as expected.

This little tool has a lot of power. My favorite feature is that all information is displayed on my phone. Easy setup, easy navigation. My old car seems to have a lot of codes these days, I just dropped the device in the parking lot once and knew what the code was in less than a minute. SRS won't work for my machine, but other modules provided more information than I ever knew what to do with. For me it was worth reading the codes on my phone in a simple GUI.

This software contains a bug and does not perform the functions reported on its website. I was trying to do a service breather on a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid with a 2.3L Atkinson engine. He vents the first 3 calibers correctly. When he gets to the front of the rider he stops counting the brake pressures at 9 so the test can't complete so how don't you get to 10. Here's the thing, this device is a waste of time. Tech Support/Presales requested Vins for my three vehicles to confirm the ABS. Obediently I sent wine; They confirmed that ABS is supported. I've had my Rubicon 04 since it was new, this car has no ABS. Technical support played with me in a skirmish. I learned something, I assumed my jeep had ABS when it didn't.
