This is a very useful tool for me. I'm a mechanic and this tool allows me to dig deep enough to fix problems with the make/year cars I own and the friends I help. There are more powerful devices, but the price is fine for me.

I am very happy with this purchase. This is a big improvement over my Creader VIII. Tons of options and information and some limited code. It's a huge investment for a weekend warrior, but I think it's worth it. On the other hand, the price of updates. I think it's too much for people who aren't professional mechanics.

Well I've worked with cars for several years and use snap on tools that cost ten times more and do half the job that the DS808 does. Autel MaxiDAS DS808 was purchased for personal use, not for some workshop work. It showed no problems when used with any of my vehicles. Wonderful instrument. I finally got the Maxidas DS808 after looking at them for about a year and going back and forth over their scanners with Snap-on and Matco tool carts. Ok some of the reviews scared me a little after reading all the nightmares. I recently bought a DS808 (updated version of DS708). I received it on 2/15/18, now on 2/18/18. I've only had it for 3 days and can't stop telling my colleagues about all of its features. I have been a professional diesel mechanic for 10 years. I've spent thousands of dollars on Snapon, Matco, and Mac scan tools. None of my expensive scanning tools can do everything this one can. I was able to update the PCM software level in 97 f150. I was able to do an injector kill test on a 2003 Dodge Neon.
