I installed a tool adjuster on a 20 year old CNC machine for quick drilling and tapping. It appears to have excellent build quality. So far it works great with about 30 sets of tools and is blown coolant. The instruments appear to be correct within a repeatability of about 0.0002 inches. I bought one of these and hooked it up to a Fanuc Robodrill for automatic tool length measurement. I am very happy with it after about 2 weeks of use and hundreds of measurements. This is very reproducible with an accuracy well below 0.001 inch when the last touch measurement is slow (1 FPM). I am using a Fanuc Oi-Mc controller and am not using the high speed skip inputs.
