We have used this tool adjuster several times with our Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 3 and it works great. However, it took us a long time to figure out how to connect it. You need to connect it to the Din connector like this: Din ETS (Electronic Tool Setter) Pin 3 +12V = Red Pin 4 0V = Gray and Orange Pin 5 Signal = Brown This is very strange wiring and doesn't match any manufacturer documentation agree, but it works great. Accurate, strong, reliable, good value for money

I bought one of these and hooked it up to a Fanuc Robodrill for automatic tool length measurement. I am very happy with it after about 2 weeks of use and hundreds of measurements. This is very reproducible with an accuracy well below 0.001 inch when the last touch measurement is slow (1 FPM). I am using a Fanuc Oi-Mc controller and am not using the high speed skip inputs. I modified the M code written by Fanuc to set it up to measure any tool length without first estimating the tool length…
