Plastic Brackets Suck

Cheap plastic brackets that attach to existing side rails have a set of nuts in the plastic, when these nuts are tightened these nuts work loose from the plastic and you can no longer attach the crossbar to the side rail. makes the crossbar UNUSABLE. A complete piece of shit.

2017 Subaru Crosstrek + Crossbars

Shipping was fast. I have a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek and it was easy to install. The only problem was that the rear bar was a bit big, I had to leave a screw. I double checked both poles and their safety. I used them with the Yakima FrontLoader roof bike rack. So far no problems.

Fits like an OJ glove.

They fit like a glove as we talk about the OJ glove during the trial. Cozy, but it will go on if you force it. I'm not sure I like them as they are quite bulky but I think this is what all cross members for this car will look like. I think they will do their job or my kayak will fly off the freeway. Just take a look.

Doesn't fit 2013 XV Crosstrek

Very disappointed that they don't fit my 2013 XV Crosstrek. The front strap fits, but the back strap is too long. The plastic ends don't feel very strong and break when I try to tighten the front bar. The description really needs to be adjusted for material and size. THEY WILL NOT FIT MY 2013 XV CROSSTREK.

Poor quality for Cargo Management

Product broke during assembly before installation. Since the crossbars are not assembled, you have to guess which mounting legs go with which side of the crossbar, and there are poor quality plastic strips on the legs. When inserting the crossbar into the support, this part broke. This stress fracture is visible on x-rays, but its location makes repair impossible or impractical. I am very unimpressed with the product and would not recommend it.

Poorly built; ill thought out; not to mention inappropriate installation instructions.

Assuming it was a quality product and a great alternative to similar Subaru cross members. I was wrong. My first clue was that the instructions didn't match how the product looked in the box. The instructions are written and the pictures are shown as if the end pieces on the crossbars were already installed. You are not. You need to assemble them yourself. Not a difficult task, apart from the fact that it is not easy to distinguish the leading edge from the trailing edge of the handlebar. Andโ€ฆ
