Works fine (IF you can get it to work)

An end user requested this to work in a library. Folder marks and the like. Worked well for the first month or so. Pros: 1. prints beautiful labels IF he decides he wants to work. Cons: 1. XP Pro is not recognized as a USB device. (Most USB devices are recognized by XP when they are plugged in and removed. Not this item. Detected. Also no problem with any specific end user PC. I tested it on several different PCs and got the same results.) 2 .Each power switch automatically toggles turns off aโ€ฆ

Not compatible with Windows 7 or 8

Only Windows XP drivers are available for this printer. Avery has discontinued support and no longer updates its drivers for it.

Pros
  • Same as before
Cons
  • Appearance

Owned for about a year or more

I won't go into the horrible details but I'm telling you, DO NOT BUY THIS. There are better labelers out there. Doesn't work with Office 2007 either.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

Problems loading labels

I'm disappointed with this label maker, but I don't use it very often. According to the instructions, loading labels should be very easy, but in practice it is not easy to align them correctly and prepare them for proper printing. The printer also wastes labels by sending out several blank labels before printing the first one. If I had to rebuild I wouldn't buy this printer and print labels on my laser printer.

Pros
  • I mind
Cons
  • No insurance

When he worked, he was a real asset, and then suddenly he "died ".

I bought an Avery PLP 9100 because I thought it would be a big plus. I could quickly print a label, stick it on an envelope, and mail it. However, one of the disadvantages of the printer at first glance is that it feeds a label when you turn it on. There is no pressure on this label, it just wastes the label unless you open the lid and physically wrap the label back onto the wheel. IT IS tedious and certainly not a time saver. Just recently I wanted to print a label as usual and now the printer

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Don't waste your money - Printer not working

I bought this Avery personal label printer to use at work. Nothing but a headache. The problem with this is that it uses special labels, the machine has to read the barcode on the back of the label. After a while the machine doesn't read it at all. No matter how many times you try to enter it, it doesn't work, the light keeps blinking amber, which means the label is unreadable. I throw this one away!

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Repair
