When it comes to welding and soldering, size matters

Excellent quality wire. It is convenient to have different sizes. The smaller wire made soldering the 24AWG wire a lot less messy on the tight PCB, and I'm sure the thicker wire will speed up soldering the thicker wire. I will definitely buy again in the future if I need more.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Should not be labeled as a solder, terrible

Do yourself a favor and buy another solder. I lost a lot of time trying to get this solder to work. You can see the problem with this solder if you wet the tip of a soldering iron. it instantly sticks together and blackens the tips. And that's before you try to solder anything.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • No instructions

Really good product

There was some conundrum as solder thickness is measured online in metric units which is confusing. This selection shows different sizes and you can try them yourself. Solder of very good quality and in very good relation to electrical and electronic soldering. Pretty good value too as you get five reels.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Price that beats the piggy bank

No flux? : Updated! good for welding and soldering

No flux problem in this batch. No flow, even with temperature control. Allow me to waste time 'cause time is something I can't get back! Update: Cut 1 foot of solder and works fine now, will keep and use. Some people say it shines after removing the iron, I find it matte.

Pros
  • great for me

Great starting point for beginners

This is a great way to get started with solder wire. You can try different sizes of solder wire to see which one works best for you and what you are working on. Excellent quality wire. Arrived on time and well packaged to avoid damage upon receipt. Great for beginners to try and see if you prefer. 6mm or 1.0mm and so on.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not what I'm used to.

I've been away from electronics for a while. I've never used lead-free solder before. This solder works, but does not melt, flow or cool as expected. The solder joint is matte, not shiny like my old lead solder. It also needs more heat. I heat my iron to 675 degrees Fahrenheit to make it act like my old lead solder. I still have some. Otherwise it seems like a good value.

Pros
  • {HIGH QUALITY} AxPower flux is much more stable at high temperatures and high temperatures than most organic fluxes. This results in minimal smoke, tidiness and easy-to-clean residue.
Cons
  • Socket required

This is the worst solder I've ever used.

This is the worst solder I have ever bought and have been soldering since the mid 80's. The chemical composition of the metal is questionable, the rollers are not marked. It certainly doesn't work like 63/37. In addition to the already poor performance, the flux content is completely inadequate. This solder just never "flows" and it seems like every connection is a cold joint. It doesn't matter what temperature you set, immersion time, connecting cables, soldering components, etc. It seems to…

Pros
  • {WIDE APPLICATION} AxPower solder wire can be used in a variety of jobs and applications. It can easily repair complex circuit boards or simple consumer electronics.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Insufficient Labeling

Only two of the five rolls were the right size. The other three were written in pen (below print size) and are barely visible. To add to the confusion, the originally misprinted size has not been crossed out, perhaps prompting a closer look at the situation. Reading other reviews made me take a closer look at things. Another issue is that there is no verification of solder composition (63/37?) or actual flux. Most of it is written in Chinese so it could be included but I don't read Chinese. I…
