It keeps time with impressive accuracy and is easy to flip over once the sand has run out. The only downside is that it comes without any decoration, which may not appeal to everyone's tastes. This was the perfect hourglass for our family to use as a bonding ceremony during our wedding. We all added different colored sand and were able to seal by simply re-tightening the screws. 10/10 recommend!

The accuracy depends on the amount of sand you put in, but it's quite large. We'll probably use 8 to 10 ounces of sand. Nicely personal and well done. Excellent value for money compared to almost all online sand ceremony sites including Etsy. The hole is a good size so regular colored sand will do.
