I have a 1989 Mustang. I drove less than 100 miles with this cable and it broke. I would not recommend this item even though I like BBK

First the lock nut for the lower part of the cable going to the bell body was missing. (luckily I had 8mm fasteners available). Second, I was unable to install the electronic clamp at the bottom of the cable on the case bell. The electronics terminal socket on the cable was not properly machined. I had to dremel the end of the cable to properly install the electronic clip. Very disappointed especially when installed on the floor with no elevator.

Excellent purchase to replace the factory cable. Worked great and was a lot cheaper as a bundle than buying the firewall customizer separately.

Excellent product. Makes a world of difference. Shifting feels infinitely better. With this product, the clutch and shifting experience is better than a brand new car. Now it's easy to change gears. It takes almost no effort to shift from one gear to another. As soon as you touch the lever, it shifts to the next gear. money well spent.

I installed this on my 2003 Mustang GT. I encountered several problems. First, the firewall adjuster is too big for the hole in the firewall that the serial cable comes out of. A little sanding of the adjuster and a bit of pounding with a rubber mallet later and it fitted perfectly. Second, the adjustable bolt and nut portion of the cable does not fit through the large hole in the clutch fork. This means that every time you want to adjust a clutch fork, you have to fully disengage the fork…
