I have long thick wavy hair that I have never worn in a bun. They were lifeguards! The hair is collected in a bun throughout the day and does not fall out. I use the big one for all my hair and the small one for half my hair and all my daughters (she has long thin straight hair). When I first opened the package I noticed a really strong chemical smell, but I only hand washed them and let them air dry.

Not recommended for normal and thick hair, may only be suitable for very fine hair. I bought it for my kids because we saw some classmates had it. However, this small brand didn't hold the hair of four years ago, the big one didn't hold the hair of 11 years ago. The big one was too big for four year old hair. We tried our girlfriend's hair, same problem. It rolls well but doesn't hold up at all. We ended up going back, but I'd still like to find one that matches my kids' hair.

This product is very hair specific. Not sure if this will work unless you have long single layered hair. I tried both sizes on shoulder length layered hair and it was a real mess. These things are awesome! I have very thick, heavy hair and when I tried another brand my hair literally broke the wire. This brand is much heavier and keeps my hair in an amazing bun!

I've tried knotting my hair with them but they don't seem to hold my hair in a bun very well no matter what I've tried. My hair just slips out of the center slot and the wire in the foam doesn't change shape at all. I do not recommend this. waste of money.
