I changed the right rear wheel bearing on my 2006 Forester (buy an Outback, it has modular bearings). Replacing these bearings requires a significant amount of time and tools. Because of the frozen transverse bolt on the suspension, the entire hub had to be dismantled to get to the bearing. The speed sensor was stuck and wouldn't come out of the hub, I ended up breaking it. I had to get under the back seat, loosen it, undo the 3 or 4 bolts holding it to the frame and pull it out with the hub…
