Perfect fit for my Forester 98

Although pulling the rusty ball joints out almost gave me a heart attack, the Beck Arnley went in with no problems and looked well built. I hope they last a lifetime for my older Fozzie.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Zero

I have enjoyed using many other Beck Arnley parts and this one is no different. I compared this to a defective Subaru OE part and they match perfectly. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just a solid construction that fits and does what it's supposed to do.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good. Not very suitable for ball joints

Perfect fit. Since there is no place for rust, dirt, etc., please clean the area well before installation. I'd like to see a new screw in the box (as mine got damaged when removing it) as in some other kits. Uses a cotter pin so it either hits or misses with the correct torque when aligning the hole. I was low on lube and added a little more before installing.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some little things

Beyond expectations!

I know there is usually a pretty obvious difference between economy parts and OEM parts. tricked me! I purchased this product for use in a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium for front passenger side mounting. A friend of mine brought a ball joint home for me and compared them and saw no difference! The ball joint installs easily and has worked as it should for over 1000 miles with no sign of failure!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Empty

Seems to be a good quality part

Just installed a couple of these. They look original or better. If your Subie is older, do NOT expect to have fun removing old ball joints. The top of the ball joint tends to freeze to the spindle. The first one nearly killed me when I pulled it out. The second is much better. With the second, I filled the space in the spindle above the PB Blaster ball joint housing a few times a day before attempting to take things apart. It didn't make things easier, but at least it made sense.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
