I mainly use this paper for pencil drawings and the paper is very thin. The cardboard backing of the lining is thin so it doesn't provide any grip. Unfortunately I didn't know how thin the paper is, otherwise I would have used something thicker.

Paper of this size is very difficult to transport, so mine was slightly damaged in the shipping box. The paper itself is too thin to use anything substantial. It's only slightly thicker than newsprint and not even as thick as regular drawing paper. I would recommend it for sketching and maybe light drawing, but no more.

Really good album for big sketches and drawings. If you are looking for something to create items to sell or keep. I advise you to use an art book or canvas with thicker pages for this. As this is a sketchbook, the pages may curl and crease slightly. Mainly because of the size.

I ordered this for a school project as I couldn't find a teacher's supply store in our area to buy a large sheet of paper to draw on the background. This is a good thick paper, similar to heavy drawing paper. Made a great backdrop for my daughter's project and I'm not worried about tearing it in half. We trimmed it down to 5 feet tall and have plenty left over for other projects.

I needed a notebook with these dimensions for the drawing class. Most local stores sold pads similar to this product for $50 or more, which was out of my price range when I was a student.
