Great mic for the price

Great mic for the price. They were bought partly to mic the kids on stage and partly to play with in my small home studio. They have reasonable noise floor, a small boost in presence around 6kHz and come across as a bit weak in the low end, but I was able to manage that with the EQ. After the EQ, I liked the sound I got with the ORTF setting. I was very impressed with these kids mics (with the XY setting). They were better than the Shure SM57 in what we could pick up and get before the…

Unbelievable price for microphones and accessories

This microphone set is unbelievable for the price. It's almost embarrassing how good they are. These are the cheapest mics I've ever bought, but they easily rival mics three or four times the price. The sound is clean, clear and full. They are sensitive enough to capture every nuance, but not too hard or brittle. As a stereo pair in X/Y configuration, they brilliantly capture the stereo field. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in any project. I think they're great for things like flutes, singing…

Excellent stereo microphones for the home studio!

If you need stereo mics and are on a tight budget, you'll love these mics. Please note that they are intended for recording instruments, not vocals. If you need vocals, look elsewhere. For my application, I needed an affordable set of microphones to record stereo acoustic guitar. For less than $60 these mics are awesome! Can you find the best stereo capacitors? Of course. The Rode M5 and Sterling SL30MP are great alternatives. But both cost about $100 more. If you have at least $200 to spend…

Excellent microphone - very happy with its work.

My daughter's choir has a very limited sound budget. It was an absolute requirement that we spend the money wisely and still get quality sound. After reading other reviews of these mics (both good and bad) we bought two sets for our end of year school program. The students sing jazz and pop music. Many of the songs were acapella. Before purchasing, I compared the C-2's performance to several more expensive microphones. The Behringer C-2 microphones were quite sensitive and, with their…

If you buy it, you'll use it

I've owned the C-2 for about a year now and I can say I'm more attracted to them than any other mic I've owned ( The winner should be a blue baby bottle because it's so damn versatile!). A little about my context: I'm a music technology teacher, performer and composer. In terms of time breakdown, these three roles add up to roughly 70/20/10. I've used the C-2 to record guitars with students, mike choirs for school performances, and even capture ambient noise for in-ear headphones during…

I'm satisfied with it, there are only some small flaws.

With a very limited budget, buying this stereo pair will be a reasonable solution for recording acoustic guitar or other stringed plucked instruments. It will also be just a great option for overheads, including for live work. Of course, the microphones are budget, so I would recommend looking towards more expensive models in the studio for more or less serious recordings. This is especially important to consider when recording quiet sources like guitar, where the microphones' own noise will…

Pros
  • 1. Price. Here, perhaps, without comment. 2. More than worthy equipment: 2 holders for microphone stands, 2 windscreens, a stereo placement bar (special thanks for that!), a simple but durable plastic case with foam padding. Many more expensive models usually do not have anything in the kit other than holders for racks and windscreens. 3. The sound for its price is quite decent. An excellent choice for acoustic instruments, especially plucked strings. No, you should not expect anything magical, and more expensive models will sound better, but here you need to understand how much a pair of microphones costs in order to understand that they certainly sound for this amount. 4. The presence of a low-frequency cutoff function and an attenuator also cannot but rejoice. 5. Well, I note that even in appearance the microphones are quite decent: they are made of metal, heavy (although they are the size of a finger).
Cons
  • Of course, the microphones themselves are noisy, but this is a side effect - a kind of payment for low cost, pardon the tautology. Otherwise, for the money, I do not see any shortcomings in this model.

Good product, more pros than cons.

Took for experiments in home recording. Of the advantages, convenience and lower noise level compared to dynamic microphones. To sound acoustics and a combo amplifier - they do it quite well, but they are more suitable for overhead heads and a room. The sound seemed too sharp in the combo (but it is treated by equalization). If you translate the price per piece, then it generally comes out chocolate.

Pros
  • Solid equipment. There is a low pass filter and sensitivity reduction. Case for everything (except that the cables will not go in). Price quality.
Cons
  • I thought it would be just cool compared to the CM57 dynamic microphones, in the end it is no better than the built-in microphones from Tascam DP-006. With wind protection, part of the tops is eaten - I think everyone has it.
