Great value for money road bike helmet from the 90's.

I bought this helmet because my Bell Ripley's built in visor blocks my vision when it rains. The fit is tricky as the straps are long and can slip off when you first put them on your head. If you pull the straps down after tightening, it fits better. I love the clean basic design, and it looks like Bell has been making this model since 1995 (original models have white foam).

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Bad adjustment system

I'm sure it's better than riding without a helmet, but not by much. The adjustment system does not take different head sizes into account. There is only one strap on the whole helmet that needs to be tightened. Even when tightened to an uncomfortable point, the helmet sits unsteadily on my head. This is probably fine for people who only ride occasionally in residential areas, but if you ever ride frequently or anywhere with reasonable traffic, I strongly recommend a safer helmet.

  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Ideal for weekend rides

Great helmet for the occasional ride. I ordered 2 of these for me and my wife to wear when we bike occasionally. I have a pretty big head and she has a small one. They fit us both well with a few adjustments. The adjustments themselves were fairly easy to make. We only wear them for an hour or two at a time, but they're quite comfortable for that amount of time. The only drawback is that the straps are very narrow. If they were a bit wider, they would be more comfortable to wear.

Pros
  • Helmets & Accessories
Cons
  • Legacy

I don't want to spend money and buy a whole new

VERY basic helmet. As it literally includes both a helmet and multiple straps. There's no real way to securely fasten it on your head no matter how you play with the straps. The helmet just seems wobbly to me. I would NOT buy it again. I would probably spend a little more money to get one that actually fits. But since I already have a helmet, I don't want to spend money and buy a whole new one. I just have to hope I never have an accident because I'm not even sure if that's going to stay on my…
