I tune bikes daily and use them when customers have an old Schwinn road bike or another that needs retuning. Nice and cheap. But they don't come with the acorn nut used on older bikes, and some picky buyers might notice, so stick with your old hardware and get going.

This was just what I needed to get my old mountain bike back on the road. They are exactly the same shape as the originals but I think they should be softer because even when new they don't squeak like the originals. It's not difficult to ride, but with regular cycling I'm 100% comfortable and I'm sure I won't have any trouble stopping. I would buy them again without hesitation.

I bought these like most people to replace old original parts from an old bike. They work great! My weather conditions can be harsh, 115F, dust blowing. Only the dust on my old pads acted like a lubricant and made it difficult to stop, plus the effect of red hot steel rims and you have glazed pads.
