Not what they claim! Not 9 " x 12 "

I've used this paper for the last year but it no longer fits the advertised size of 9" x 12". This exact brand and series IS USED in 9x12 inches, the paper is now a full 0.5 inches shorter and has a different, less absorbent surface - you can see the old paper on the right in the last picture and the new paper on the left. Finished. The size and finish ruined my projects. I've used this paper religiously all year, need to find a new brand - very disappointed.

Wet on wet does not work

This paper weighs 246 pounds. You would think it would handle the color after you put it in the water. No! After several passes with the brush, paper balls appeared. I thought it was my brush. I used several different brushes and the reason wasn't in them but in the paper. You need to use tweezers to separate the balls from the paper. Checked wet for dry and the balls resurfaced. I made several runs with the manufacturer, everything was fine, but it bled. Acrylic paint is good. I don't have any

Disappointed

This paper is not suitable for watercolor and other similar media. I've tried watercolors, brush tip markers, Derwent and Inkense graphite pencils on this paper, using different types of brushes from fine detail to blurring, and found that paper pills are very bad no matter how gentle you are. The situation is made worse when you need to layer color or highlight color even when the paper dries and the result is a messy mess. You get little paper balls pretty much everywhere you applyโ€ฆ

The worst watercolor paper on the market. DO NOT BUY - complete nonsense!

I don't know what kind of paper it is, but as a watercolor paper it's absolutely UNUSEABLE. if you don't want the paint to bead up and form discrete pieces of pigmented color on the paper. Watercolor paper was designed to blend color and create seamless edges where different colors meet, but that's not the case. The front is very grainy/uneven (not "jagged" like watercolor paper). The back is very smooth and has no "teeth" that could be used for watercolor techniques. PS: I quickly drew 2โ€ฆ

Good paper for beginners EXCEPT you pick up color

I bought different brands of tampons in the same price range to see if what I used (Canson XL) would be the best ( Unfortunately Arches is not in my price range) Pros: This paper is significantly whiter than any other paper I have seen. The texture is a cold press style dimple on the front of each sheet, but interestingly the back is smooth hot press style. This makes it a great training mat as both textures give different results. However, if you are using watercolor, this paper is NOTโ€ฆ
