Description of BELSIZE 20-Inch Lightweight Aluminium Alloy Kids Bike: Ultra-Light (14.82 lbs) 7-10 Years Old Bicycle

Belt-Driven: Belsize bikes use a rubber belt which is quieter, lasts longer, and requires no grease or lube compared to a metal chain. You’ll love the durability and minimal maintenance, your kid will love how agile, lightweight and FUN it is to ride. Easy to Control: Instead of wrestling with a heavy bike, our bike weighs a feather-light 14.82 pounds to reduce fatigue and keep your kid having fun all day long. High Quality Parts: Belsize bikes use well-known parts like a Continental rubber belt, TEKTRO hand brakes, and CST inflatable tires. Quality parts you can trust without inflated prices. Incredibly Safe: Front and rear V-pull hand brakes provide an easier transition from balance bikes. With a little coaching, hand brakes are safer and less frustrating than pedal/coaster brakes that may cause skidding or sudden stops. 5-Minute Assembly: Belsize bikes come 95% assembled when it arrives. All you have to do is attach the handlebars, front tire, adjustable seat, pedals, and a few other small parts and your kid will be ready to ride.

Well designed and high quality

Well packaged. High quality details. The instructions weren't entirely clear to me - more close-ups and details would have been better. It doesn't come with a stand, so I ordered an aluminum one for $10. This bike is a big deal for young kids - it can be ridden all day - it will last longer than older kids who ride heavy bikes in big boxes.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Wish they were an adult size

Great lightweight bike. Easy to assemble. The front axle was slightly offset from the center of the hub (picture). I gently hammered it back to center and the front fork slid perfectly. The wheels were real and the brakes didn't need adjustment. Bought for my 5 year old child. He easily rode a few kilometers with me. The bike is so light, smooth and quiet. I love it. I want them to do the same in a larger size.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Nice, light children's bike

Nice and very light bike. It's not premium, some parts are cheaper, like pedals, but it's way, way better than most bikes/cheap store brands. Install the pedals, front wheel and handlebars. The journey takes 10-15 minutes. Nothing had to be adjusted, the factory nuts and bolts were tightened. Very satisfied. I will update if there are any problems.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Cable shorter than other models

High end bike, easy assembly, no chain tangle, very light

We first bought a Belsize 16 inch belt drive bike for my 4 year old. We liked it so much we decided to buy the 20 inch version for my 8 year old! Assembly was so easy my 13 year old could do it himself. I had never heard of belt drive bikes before buying these bikes and I wish I had known about them sooner! This bike rides so smooth and I love not having to worry about chain maintenance on the bikes my little ones use. I also really like that it's so light, which is perfect for little ones. The

Very light bike and easy to ride!

This is my daughter's second bike, she switched from a 14" bike to this 20" bike; This was her third time cycling without training wheels and she transitioned with no problem; I think that's because this bike is very light. I think the manufacturer needs to work on a few things to make the bike perfect, for example: 1. The base of the front reflector needs to be wider to fit closer to the center of the handlebar (see image). 2. Someone else mentioned earlier that the seat clamp should be a…

Great bike? Enjoy the wonder of cycling - it's like flying on this bike.

Great bike? Enjoy the wonder of cycling - riding this bike is like flying :). Simple, simple, wonderful. That's a steep price for our big six year old, over $300; but it's worth it. This is a great bike for getting the kids off the couch and getting some exercise. We don't have video games at home, so I justified the high price. Parent to parent - spend the money on this bike on your kid if you have one. LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT, just like a children's bike should be. One of my kids demonstrated…

If you want your kids to love riding, this is the bike.

This bike is exactly as advertised. With relatively little effort, you can assemble this bike (using the tools provided) in about fifteen minutes. The components are the quality you would expect for the price. A few moments of brake adjustment and the wheels spin freely and quickly. As a parent of younger children, I will champion choice here. I love to ride. I rode mountain bikes with my family, raced in college, and can still be seen riding my old Cannondale from time to time. I wanted my…
