For my mother. fits lift legs

We bought these for my mum's car as thanks for letting me use them and I noticed they were bad. Easy to install, I would suggest 2 people do it. Mom seems happy!

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Big and bulky

No more headaches Good for lifting legs

Works great! Instead of being automatically closed by the old posts, the new ones automatically open the overhead gates. My head is thankful it doesn't get hot anymore! Hot product!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not all fit

Get the parts work done

Perfect fit. Works well. Seems well done. Don't try to screw them in by hand - it takes all day and will give you serious neck pain holding the truck door with your shoulders. Using an electric drill and another person to hold the tailgate, it only took 10 minutes and he screwed it in much tighter than he could have done by hand.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some cons

Built in lifts work like original equipment

Former sunroof fell on my wife and I love the alligator. Once installed, the jacks work very well, effectively lifting and holding the sunroof. I had minor problems with the installation. It may have been the installer, but I had some trouble aligning the lift arms so I could lock and tighten the bolts. From what I remember I had to ream the holes in the brackets a bit to make it easier to line up the screws properly for tightening. I recommend this product for 1999 RX300.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Weight

VERY strong springs!

Just installed on our 2001 Lexus RX3000. Fairly easy to install, although it was nice to have a second pair of hands to hold the hatch. I braced the sunroof with something, but found I had to shake a bit to get the screws into the threads. You can assemble them yourself, but it's easier to have a helper hold the sunroof. They have STRONG feathers. I suspect this will extend life once the springs start to fatigue. As mentioned they are too strong but I'd rather put a little more effort to close…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Easy install and fit Excellent

Took about 15 minutes to install. A hole in the bracket at the base of the rack is slotted to allow for a slight offset, so it's not clear why some reviewers had to drill or widen holes in the brackets to fit. The holes in the bracket on the piston side of the shock absorber are perfectly aligned with the original threaded holes. Installing the brackets at the base of the rack initially seemed like the best order of installation. It took a little longer to mount the bracket on the piston side…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
