So it depends on your project. how everything looks I've used the Bernat Bulky Blanket Yard and thought I'd give this one a try. Ok, the colors are interesting. But I think I'll stick with regular quilting thread.

love the feel of this yarn and the color is AMAZING but it says 6 gauge and is definitely smaller than this. That's why I gave 4 stars. I don't think it's accurate. I ended up not being able to use it and gave it to my mother in law to use on another project as it didn't work for what I wanted it for.

A wonderful baby blanket. I love chenille baby yarn Bernat. So cozy and the worsted weight means you can make a blanket in just a few hours. The great thing about stripes is that since it's an automatic pattern, it saves you the hassle of switching thread colors. I made a chevron pattern with pom poms around the edges and the baby's mom loved it. Be sure to wash on gentle cycle and air dry.

This yarn will weave into a soft blanket over time, but is unusual to work with if you're used to natural fibers. . It sticks to itself, my hands hurt when using bamboo needles (steel is better) and the ends were completely snapped trying to prick them. she stayed to herself and caught the knitting needles. I would not recommend this yarn and will not buy it again.
