Generous ball of wool

I used this yarn to make the border of a light green knitted baby blanket for my newborn great-granddaughter. The shine comes from the shiny viscose thread running through the yarn and the scalloped edge finishes off the blanket beautifully. I have enough yarn left over to knit another blanket.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • ---

The yarn does not shine best

I wanted to make Santa hats with this yarn. I bought yarn that sparkled but it didn't. The yarn is knitted with a different white thread that looks like a different white thread but does not shine or shine. The yarn is thinner than I expected and the skein is too big for the job. He comes back.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Weight

Wording is not exact

When I ordered this yarn I specifically ordered Bernat on the previous label as Bernat Baby Sparkle. This is not locally stocked and I was happy to find a yarn with this description. which is heavier and readily available locally at a much lower cost. Totally unsatisfied

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Annoying

Same quality, larger size

I was pleasantly surprised to find this yarn in a size 10.5. I usually get this from Michaels, but they only have a smaller ball of yarn and Michaels no longer carries that particular Baby Sparkle Yarn. I use it for baby gifts and prepare it in advance. I'm glad to know that I can still get this yarn through Revain.

Pros
  • 10.5 oz/300 g, 1178 yd/1077 m.
Cons
  • Expensive

Lighter than in the picture.

I love this yarn but just so you know it's a lot lighter than the picture. The photo on the product page is very blurry, but the ball I received is beautiful and almost bright. The second picture with yarn lines is much closer to the real picture. This is a good lightweight yarn. This is a ball big enough to make a decent baby or lap blanket. It's soft but not silky.

Pros
  • Caliber: 3 - light sport, 86% acrylic, 14% viscose
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Color is best misleading in knitting and crocheting

Although I like the brand and the yarn, the picture led me to believe that it has bolder colors than it really is. The saturation of the image gave the impression that it was appropriate for the project I'm working on, but actually it isn't. So now I have a few strands that I need to turn into a whole new project. In the image I've included, the right side is the actual colors and the left side is the saturation, as in the image used in the listing.

Pros
  • Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows on 4mm needles (US 6)
Cons
  • boring packaging
